1. Overweight

Being overweight for a dog, just like in people, can lead to a host of potential health related problems.  One research study that looked specifically at obesity in dogs found that a dog who was at the right weight actually lived 1.8 years longer than the overweight counterpart.  That is significant. Being overweight by as little as 10% can be the difference between being comfortable and one with painful joints from arthritis.

The primary means of exercise in weight management is hydrotherapy in our underwater treadmill.  The key feature being the ability to exercise without adding the joint stresses from being overweight.  Plus the benefit of exercising against the resistance of the water, doubles the amount of work being done as on dry land.

Join our FitClub for a customized program that includes in-clinic therapeutic exercises, instruction in an individualized home exercise program, and exercise in our state-of-the-art HydroPhysio Underwater Treadmill.  We can work closely with your veterinarian to provide a comprehensive approach to weight loss.

2. Canine Athlete

To perform at top levels and to prevent injury, we offer fitness services for your canine athlete. Whether your dog is in the show ring or sports arena, or to simply increase activity levels, our customizable FitClub program is for you and your canine companion.

Athletes, by the nature of what they do, are prone to injury. Proper conditioning and education can optimize prevention of injury. Whether your athlete is a top level competitor or a weekend warrior, they can benefit from a program which includes stretching, strengthening, cardiovascular conditioning and sport-specific exercise.

3. Post-Rehabilitation

You and your dog have done all the work of recovering from an injury or condition. Now it’s time to maintain and prevent future issues. We can set you up on a FitClub program to address that too. This can be an often-missed component, but very important one.

4. Fun

It’s fun here!  It’s social, active and fun. You know how you feel when you get a little exercise with friends.  Do the same for your dog.
